Food & Drink
Situated in the oldest and most historic neighbourhood in Lisbon, Alfama, our restaurant “A Fábrica de Santiago´ meaning The Factory of Santiago from a past incarnation of this once Royal Palace welcomes you on a gastromomical voyage to awaken your senses with a pinch of salt, to enhance the flavours and textures of our traditionally inspired Portuguese Cozinha.
We offer a wide-ranging á la carte breakfast menu, which includes Crème Cheese and Salmon Bagel accompained by a side of scrambled eggs, the world classic `Full English´, pancakes with syrup, eggs to your style and various cold and lighter options.
The restaurant, café and bar spills on to the esplanade in the warmer months for dining alfresco, afternoon tea and evening cocktails often to the sound of fado or bossa nova.
Our chef Carlos Robalo creates seasonal menus with locally sourced produce that present dishes from almost every corner and era of this ancient land and surrounding Atlantic. Try the Oven-Roasted Cabrito or the Creamy Cuttlefish Risotto, but we typically like to start by tempting our palates with ´petiscos´ and a carefully chosen wine to compliment.
