Access and Transportation
What is the best way to get to the hotel using public transport?
The metro station closest to the hotel is Baixa–Chiado. From there, you can take the historic tram 28, which will take you directly to our doorstep; just get off at the Miradouro de Santa Luzia stop.
How do I get to the hotel by Aerobus?
On the Aerobus route, you should get off at the Praça da Figueira stop and then take bus 737 to the Largo do Contador Mor stop.
Where can I park my car?
Santiago de Alfama is located in a historic area of Lisbon, where parking is not permitted. However, we offer a parking facility near the hotel, available for €25 per day, subject to prior reservation.
I have an electric car – where can I charge it?
The nearest electric vehicle charging point to the hotel is located at the Chão do Loureiro parking garage, operated by EMEL.
Where can I rent a bicycle or electric scooter during my stay?
There are no bicycle or scooter rental services in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. However, if you go to the Baixa–Chiado area, you will find several available options.

Does the hotel have an elevator?
Yes, our hotel is equipped with an elevator for easy access to all floors.
What are the breakfast hours?
Breakfast is available daily from 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
Is breakfast served as a buffet or à la carte?
Breakfast is à la carte at Audrey’s or in the room.
Does the hotel have a restaurant? If so, what are the opening hours?
The hotel’s restaurant, Audrey’s, is open daily from 7:30 am to 11 pm.
The menu is divided into two moments: Breakfast from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and Bistro from 12 am to 11 pm.
Is there a café or bar in the hotel? If so, what are the opening hours?
We have both a café and a bar. The café Audrey’s it’s open from 7:30 am to 11 pm, our bar Manny’s is open from 6 pm to 11 pm.
Does the hotel offer room service?
The hotel offers 24-hour room service. Breakfast service is available from 8 am. to 11:30 am., the bistro menu from 11 am. to 10:30 pm., and overnight service from 10:30 pm. to 7:30 am. the following morning.
Does the hotel have a swimming pool?
The hotel does not have a swimming pool.
Does the hotel have a Wellness & Spa area?
The Beauty Bar offers a variety of treatments, including massages, facials, manicure, pedicure, and waxing. You can schedule your treatment daily from 9 am. to 6 pm.
Is there a gym at the hotel?
The hotel does not have a gym.
Does the hotel have a meeting room or a workspace?
Suite 16 is our meeting room and can comfortably accommodate 40 people in a theater-style setup.
Does the hotel provide laundry service?
Yes, you will find a laundry bag and the corresponding price list inside the wardrobe. All garments received before 12 pm. will be returned by the end of the day.
Can I request an iron to use in my room?
Simply ask at reception and an iron will be provided.
Can the hotel help with bookings for tours, restaurants, transportation, sports activities, etc.?
Our concierge service is at your disposal, with suggestions to make your trip even more special.
Can I rent a car through the hotel?
Car rental can be arranged through the hotel.
Does the hotel offer transfer services?
The hotel can organize transfer services when requested in advance prior to arrival.
Does the hotel provide babysitting services?
The hotel offers babysitting services.
Is there a wake-up call service?
Yes, just request it at reception.
Can I have a package delivered to the hotel?
For sending parcels, please indicate the name of the guest under whose reservation the stay is registered and inform reception in advance via email at reservations@santiagodealfama.com.

Are there any connecting rooms?
The hotel has two connecting rooms.
How many rooms are available for guests with reduced mobility?
The hotel has one Deluxe King Bedroom (Room 101), designed for guests with reduced mobility.
Can I have an extra bed in my room?
Yes, some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, subject to an additional charge of €50.
What is the room cleaning policy?
Rooms are cleaned daily, including changing bed linen and towels.
Are cribs available at the hotel?
The hotel provides baby cots, which must be requested in advance prior to arrival.
Are there bathrobes in the rooms?
All our rooms are equipped with bathrobes.
Do any rooms have a balcony?
Although the rooms do not have balconies, the hotel has a shared terrace on the third floor, offering stunning views over Alfama and the Tagus River.
What time is check-in?
Check-in is from 3 pm.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is until noon.

What credit cards does the hotel accept?
The hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Amex.
Are taxes included in the room rate?
As of September 1, 2024, the City Tourist Tax is €4 per person per night. It is not included in the total price and must be paid on-site. This tax applies to guests aged 13 and above and is charged for a maximum of 7 nights per guest per stay.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3 pm. and check-out is until 12 pm. (noon).
Is early check-in or late check-out available?
Early check-in may be granted subject to availability, and we recommend requesting it before arrival. Late check-out is also available and should be arranged with reception during your stay. Both services may incur additional charges, depending on the specific conditions of your reservation.
For added convenience, the hotel provides a free luggage storage service for guests using late check-out.

Yes, the hotel offers free luggage storage for guests.
What is the hotel’s policy regarding children?
The hotel accepts children under 12 years old. Baby cots are available free of charge, upon request and subject to availability.
Is smoking allowed in the hotel? What is the policy regarding electronic cigarettes?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the hotel. Failure to comply will automatically incur a minimum charge of €300, which will be charged to the guest’s credit or debit card on file.
Are pets allowed?
The hotel does not accept pets, except for guide dogs.
Is the hotel Wi-Fi free of charge?
Yes, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all areas.
